As you all know, Microsoft already release it’s newest and fresh new desktop operating system. Windows 11. An improved multi window multitasking and better support for multiple monitors to PC gaming improvements. A store featuring desktop apps and many more ! Microsoft is embracing the reality of PC and personally it’s clean !
According to Microsoft, Windows 11 will be available on 2021 holiday season. In other words, around end of this year.
So i believe you guys have one big question, the same question as me. What’s new ?
Thus, here are the new features of the brand new Windows 11.
1. NEW START MENU, IN THE CENTRE
A more simplified and clean start menu. say goodbye to live tiles, replaced with a list of app icons and recent files.
The taskbar icon and start menu have all been moved to the center of the taskbar. Quoted from Microsoft’s Panos Panay ” We put Start at the center, it puts you at the center.”
But to those who misses having all icons on the left sides, you can still move it to the left.
2. SNAP LAYOUT
Windows 11 will be focusing more on multiple windows. As it seems to embrace productivity among users and improving Snap. The new “Snap Layout” can quickly help you arrange apps on your screen.
Multiple monitors are also getting better. With a new “docking experience”, all windows on the monitor will minimize themselves when you unplug it. Rather than it’s getting in your way. When you reconnect it, Windows will automatically restore all windows to their original positions. Woowww!
3. NEW STORE WITH DESKTOP APPS
Microsoft is finally coming to their senses, doing what was supposed to be done when Window Store was first introduced in Windows 8.
Window’s 11 Desktop Apps Store will be the “single trusted location for apps”. Everything can be downloaded and updated from here.
Developers also can use their own commerce function in these apps and keep 100% of the revenue. Means Valve can distribute Steam via Microsoft Store and not have to pay Microsoft a single penny.
It also has TV shows and movies.
4. ANDROID APPS COME TO WINDOWS
Now, Android apps support will come to Windows 11.
We can download android apps on the Windows Store and run them on our PC. Yes, you can now watch Tiktok from your PC effortlessly.
5. WIDGET ON TASKBAR
Who doesn’t love Widget! You can add widgets from other applications to it. More importantly, it is customizable!
